Reports out of Darwin this morning via the Northern Territory Times Newspaper that WA Sprintcar star Ryan Farrell has fled the NT capital after a drunken brawl are false & incorrect. Speaking with Ryan Farrell & Luch Monte this morning from Darwin outside a popular coffee shop they were both very disappointed to see & read the article in today’s paper. Both Farrell & Monte are meeting with the NT Times reporter that wrote the misleading article as you read this & a full retraction will follow later today. Reports were made about an altercation in the pits after the race meeting between a crew member of another team & Ryan Farrell, This crew member is being dealt with by the Sprintcar Control Council & Farrell is not under investigation. Reasons behind Ryan Farrell & Monte Motorsport still being in Darwin is they are planning on attending the SEG North West Sprintcar rounds this month in the North West of WA.
